Monday, September 28, 2020

San José.- Traces of Indo-American civilizations are present throughout the geography of the American continent, many of which converted into elements of tourist interest.

The extensive list has unique sites such as Machu Picchu, located in the Eastern Cordillera of southern Peru, in the Andes mountain range, with numerous sacred buildings.

The city of Uxmal is also mentioned, considered at the time as the center of economic and political power in a wide area, with buildings such as Casa del Adivino.

Meanwhile, in Guatemala is Tikal, the largest excavated archaeological site in the American continent, with exponents such as Temples I and II, prototypes of local architecture.

The extensive list also includes the remains of the city-state of Copán in Honduras, with its extensive set of residential buildings that came to accommodate about 30,000 people.
