Monday, September 28, 2020

San José.- The Latin American region has first-line spaces for surfing, a form of adventure tourism that is gaining prominence worldwide.

In this sense, several beaches stand out that are included in the world ranking of sites, which has areas of Hawaii as leaders.

The list of beaches for surfing includes Puerto Escondido in Mexico, with a wave known as Zicatela, which is considered among the most powerful in the world by surfing enthusiasts.

Meanwhile, in South America, the Chilean beach of Arica (the venue of the 2007 South World Cup), as well as Montañita (Ecuador), La Paloma (Uruguay) and Punta de Lobos (Chile) are mentioned.

In turn, Central America contributes Nosara in Costa Rica, La Paz in El Salvador and Popoyo in Nicaragua, the latter is the annual venue for the World Surfing Games.
