Carnival Corporation Prepares Adjustment in Its Fleet
Monday, September 28, 2020

New York.- The Carnival Corporation shipping company, specialized in cruise tourism, is finalizing the details for an adjustment in its fleet with a view to minimizing people.

The company predicts a net loss of nearly 2.9 billion dollars in preliminary financial results for the third quarter and expects a reduction of 18 vessels, the least efficient.

According to specialists, this measure will lead to a 12 percent cut in the shipping company's capacity, coupled with lower operating costs.

Carnival had a net loss of 4.37 billion dollars in the quarter ending May 31, the largest quarterly loss in its history.

The company has about 12 billion dollars, obtained through various loans, the issuance of securities for 1.3 billion dollars and deferrals in the payment of debts.
