Preventive Drug for Health Personnel in Cuba
Monday, September 28, 2020

Havana.- Workers of the Cuban health sector will be administered a drug called Nasalferon, as a preventive measure against the Covid-19 pandemic.

This formula will be provided to health personnel who work in adult and pediatric intensive care units, as well as in hospital emergency care.

Nasalferon is the nasal version of Interferon Alpha 2-B, included in the preventive care protocols for the new coronavirus.

In the case of the eastern province of Ciego de Avila, the administration of the antiviral drug seeks greater prevention and more effectiveness in the protocols and treatment schemes.

The administration of one drop in each nostril, every 12 hours for five days, seeks to strengthen the immune system of people and lead them to face the SARS-CoV-2 virus without reaching the most serious forms of the disease.
