Cuba and Japan Assess Cooperation Projects
Monday, September 28, 2020

Havana.- Representatives of Cuba and Japan evaluated the execution of several joint cooperation projects to support the economic development of the Caribbean country.

Cuban diplomats in Japan and executives of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) took part in the aforementioned exchange.

The parties discussed possible ways to restart the Project for the Improvement of Electric Power Supply in Isla de la Juventud.

They also analyzed the possibility that Japanese and Cuban consultants can work in parallel with a view to contributing to the implementation of the Economic and Social Development Program for 2030.

JICA, which opened an office in Havana in 2018, is in charge of the administration of Official Development Assistance offered by the Japanese government.
