Facilities for Pregnant Women Expanded in eastern Cuba
Monday, September 14, 2020

Havana.- The eastern Cuban province of Guantanamo will expand maternal homes to benefit pregnant women in the territory.

In that regard, the capital repair of the maternal home in Imías stands out to join three other similar facilities in the province, with the capacity to accommodate pregnant women with obstetric risks.

The aforementioned center will receive 30 pregnant women in the prenatal stage and vulnerable to morbidities, a medical service that local residents appreciate.

The capital restoration of the building is now in the final phase, and the only thing remaining is the false ceiling to begin its operations.

With this, follow-up services are brought closer to pregnant women to minimize or prevent complications during pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium.
