In the case of eastern Camagüey province, the company dedicated to processing fruits and vegetables delivered more than 500 tons from January to July.

As an example, about 2,000 tons of mango were received and used to produce jams, concentrated juices and nectar, and sold in different types of packaging.

The company also produced guava jam, garlic and onion pastes, stir-fries, mayonnaise, mustard, pickled chili pepper and tomato paste.

In late July, 42 percent of the total production was marketed in foreign currency, together with an important contribution to the tourism sector.
