Work Resumed at National Clown School
Monday, September 14, 2020

Havana.- The National Clown School, in the eastern city of Las Tunas, has resumed the process of teaching this modality of the performing arts.

The nine members of the academy are already in the classrooms of the El Cucalambé Professional Art School and on the stage of the Teatro Tuyo Cultural Center.

According to experts, the unpredicted interruption of the course due to the Covid-19 pandemic was a very abrupt change for a specialty such as clown, in which the direct contact between teachers and students is vital.

Faced with this, virtual modalities were used to give key guidance to students.

The National Clown School offers personalized training where students must develop technical skills in the specialties of puppetry, circus, acting, pantomime and sleight of hand.
