Brussels.- The shipping company MSC Cruises prepares the ships MSC Grandiosa and MSC Magnifica to cover itineraries in nations linked to the Schengen area.
The routes in the Mediterranean include access to ports in Greece and Malta, all under strict health security measures to prevent Covid-19.
The regulations provide for a universal health examination of passengers, before boarding, which includes temperature control, a health questionnaire and a Covid-19 test.
Any passenger who tests positive, shows symptoms or an abnormal temperature will be denied boarding, while those from countries classified as high risk nations will be asked for a PCR test.
Additionally, the introduction of new cleaning methods, the use of hospital-grade disinfectants and onboard air sanitation with UV-C technology that kills 99.97 percent of microbes, will be implemented.
