Artificial Intelligence for Health in Cuba
Monday, August 3, 2020

Havana.- Cuba promotes the use of artificial intelligence to diagnose neurodegenerative diseases.

In that direction, the Cuban Academy of Sciences created a specialized group to carry out studies that will demonstrate the validity of new treatments for these conditions.

The branch of the aforementioned institution in the provinces of Camagüey and Ciego de Avila will be one of the leading entities in the project.

The system will also include the Center for the Investigation and Rehabilitation of Hereditary Ataxias (CIRAH) in Holguín and the Neuroscience Center in Cuba.

Likewise, several aspects will be evaluated that will be analyzed through the management of data obtained in studies with patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases, which are related to walking, posture, brain activity and imaging.
