Havana.- Students from various specialties of Medical Sciences will join the Youth for Life contingent in the eastern province of Holguín.
The group is made up of students of medicine, stomatology and health technologies and will be in charge of active surveys in the communities of the territory.
The initiative will facilitate the early detection of Covid-19 symptoms or the identification of vulnerable people.
This work will be part of the strategy to contain the new SARS CoV-2 coronavirus in the territory, while health promotion will be fostered to prevent dengue, Zika and other diseases caused by arbovirus.
The contingent also carries out surveys among patients with fever, rash or other symptoms, as well as epidemiological surveillance in the vicinity of outbreaks of rabies in animals.
Youth for Life will also do other tasks of social and economic impact, including food production and compliance with hygienic-sanitary measures in transportation.
