Havana.- The works for the rice dryers and silos in La Coloma, in the western province of Pinar del Río, show a 53 percent progress in its execution.
Efforts focus on the socio-administrative building and the access ramp to the discharge hopper, as part of actions to promote the rice program in the territory.
This site will increase the installed storage capacity in the province by 1,000 tons, in addition to providing a drying capacity of 37 tons a day.
The schedule shows that the storage and process silos, the industry interconnection walkway and the cistern have already been assembled, while the fire network and interior roads are still pending for completion.
The investment is estimated at 4.7 million pesos and will have a drying hall, two storage silos of 500 tons each, and two processing silos, one for unloading and another one for impurities.
