Mango Production Increases in Western Cuba
Monday, July 27, 2020

Havana.- The special municipality Isla de la Juventud, in western Cuba, has so far collected 2,534 tons of mango.

The agro-industrial company in the territory processed that volume to obtain 876.7 tons of pulp.

The good harvest of the fruit led to the preservation of some 2,445 aseptic bags of pulp in warehouses, corridors and any other possible space in this manufacturing area.

The contracting of some 400 tons with the mercantile company La Estancia, specialized in preparing food and beverages for foreign currency shops, was finalized.

The company also negotiated the delivery of certain quantities to make compote, together with a food service company from the Mariel Special Development Zone.
