Recognition of Community Culture in Cuba |

Havana.- Cuba organizing the granting of the National Prize for Community Culture, in recognition of the task to preserve traditional culture.
With the co-sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture, the National Council of Houses of Culture is in charge of granting the award, which is the highest acknowledgement of an outstanding career in sociocultural work.
In general, the process starts with the preparation of the files of the possible nominees, with a synthesis of the results they have achieved.
This year, 41 proposals were received, which include cultural promoters, art instructors, creators and professionals from the different spheres of social life, as well as institutions, groups and social organizations with significant results in the development of culture in the communities.
On this occasion, four were selected as finalists in the Personalities category, three in Artistic or Sociocultural Projects, and three in Institutions or Groups carrying Traditional Popular Culture.
