Production in Fishing Sector Grows in Granma |

Havana.- Eastern Granma province has reported an increase in production in the fishing industry with a view to meeting the market's demand.
In Niquero, the start-up phase of a new production line for canning of marine species began, in order to add value to fishing activities.
This work is encouraged with the objective of reducing imports and diversifying the offers to the population by taking advantage of local capacities.
The new line will allow the necessary arrangements for production, including cooking time, salt point, cover liquid, temperature, packaging and other quality indicators.
During the first days of work, the packaging of about 5,500 cans of 250 grams each, in this case of the species known as tap and anchovy, was finalized.
