Production of Guayabita del Pinar Resumed |

Havana.- The Guayabita del Pinar factory, in western Pinar del Rio province, has resumed production after completing a seven-month period of capital repair.
In this phase, the works focus on the production room, warehouses, the façade, the laboratory, offices and the workers' dining hall.
In addition, hygiene and safety measures have increased, with a view to exporting the product.
The industry will assume a yearly manufacture of some 24,000 cases of liquor, the only one of its kind in Cuba and the world, which is marketed by the CubaRon company.
As part of the diversification strategy, new markets are explored, together with the consolidation of sales to China and Central American customers.
The factory, founded in 1892, has the raw material to guarantee production of both the sweet and dry liquors.
