Cuban Sports Center Improves Its Facilities

Havana.- The Cerro Pelado High Performance Athletes Training School is preparing its facilities to return to its usual activities.

Cuban sports officials pointed out that the center has planned health security measures with a view to resume the school year.

In this regard, several institutions are expected to receive athletes in mid-August to train to compete in several sporting events.

Some 138 athletes are expected to return to Cerro Pelado on August 15 to continue thee training of the athletes who qualified and others with possibilities of winning a lost for the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In addition to this, mechanisms will be activated to test coaches, athletes and other personnel in order to prevent the recurrence of the pandemic and maintain biosafety protocols.
