Investments Benefit Cuban Marble Industry
Monday, July 6, 2020

Havana.- The marble industry in the eastern province of Granma is making investments in the technological modernization of the sector.

The works focus on the plant in Jiguaní, taking into account its contribution to construction activity in Cuba.

The quarry area is expected to increase annual supplies to the industry to 10,000 cubic meters of raw marble, compared to a current level of 4,200 cubic meters.

The factory has a modern processing line equipped with state-of-the-art technology from Italy and Spain, which benefits the entire production flow.

In addition, a gantry crane with a lifting capacity of more than 30 tons and automated looms with more than 50 processing blades were incorporated.
