Cuba Participates in UNESCO Project
Monday, July 6, 2020

Havana.- The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) highlighted the importance of the Transculture Project, which involves Cuba.

According to diplomatic sources, the aforementioned program is implemented in the country under the auspices of UNESCO and the European Union (EU).

In this way, the intention is to deepen integration between Cuba, the Caribbean and the EU, and to strengthen cooperation and the exchange of knowledge between Cuba and those regions.

Together with this, it aims to take advantage of diversity and build bridges between peoples and cultures of different linguistic areas, based on strengthening the skills and capacities of young professionals in culture.

UNESCO believes that Transculture will achieve its objectives by establishing a Regional Center for Cultural Training in Cuba, linked to Caribbean institutions and supported by scholarships.
