Nicaragua Prioritizes Domestic Market for Tourism |

Managua.- Nicaragua's tourism strategy prioritizes the national market in the second half of 2020, with a view to supporting the recovery of the sector.
Authorities from the leisure industry noted that for the 2021-2022 period, efforts will be directed at the Central American regional market and at international tourism in 2022.
Regarding the impact of Covid-19 on the sector, authorities noted that from January to April a contraction of 17 percent was observed, in contrast to the advance of 25 percent in the first two months of the year.
In order to capture the national market, human talent, both among business people and officials of the Nicaraguan Institute of Tourism, will be strengthen.
In addition to this, the implementation of all biosafety protocols in establishments, entry points to the country and destinations stands out, as well as market and communication management actions.
