Shipping Companies Extend Suspension of Cruise Ships
Monday, June 29, 2020

New York.- Several shipping companies have extended the suspension of cruise ship operations, as part of the prevention measures against Covid-19.

The Royal Caribbean group indicated that it will maintain the measure until September 15, along with its brands Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity X Cruises, Azamara, Silversea, TUI Cruises and Pullmantur Cruises.

Only those ships that sail from China, suspended until the end of July, and those that sail to Bermuda, suspended until October 31, 2020, will be exempted.

In addition to this, Pullmantur filed for bankruptcy in Spain, with a view to facing a situation of temporary lack of liquidity.

Among the shipping companies that will extend the suspension of activities are Cunard, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Pullmantur, Scenic, Seabourn and Virgin Cruises.
