Holguín Starts Second Stage of Population Study on Covid-19 |

Havana.- The eastern Cuban province of Holguín began the second stage of the population study on prevalence and zero prevalence of Covid-19.
The research extends to 113 families, as part of the strategy to detect asymptomatic patients in Cuba.
The subjects of the study were selected randomly and correspond to 23 health areas in the municipalities of Gibara, Cueto, Sagua de Tánamo, Moa and the provincial capital.
On this occasion, the diagnosis was made using the Ultra Micro Analytical System (SUMA), a technology created in Cuba that contributes to reducing costs.
This study will contribute to the containment of the pandemic and the protection of populations at risk, including people over 60 years of age and persons with chronic non-communicable diseases.
