Cuba Participates in Virtual Business Forum
Monday, June 29, 2020

Havana.- Cuba participated in the Virtual Business Roundtable of the Agri-Food Sector of Latin America and the Caribbean, with a view to exploring trade options.

The company Alimport represented Cuba, as part of the efforts to expand ties and boost the recovery of the economies affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The meeting was sponsored by the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI) and the Central American Trade Network (REDCA).

Alimport specializes in imports of food, raw materials and other consumer goods for wholesale marketing.

Cuban authorities promote the strengthening of food production in order to gradually replace imports and eliminate dependence on foreign markets.
