Havana.- The 2021 World Ranking of Universities has included the several higher education centers in Cuba.
The University of Havana (UH), an emblematic institution, is the only one that is included among the 500 best institutions of that type in the world.
In addition, the Marta Abreu Central University of Las Villas appears in among the top 1,000 centers, in the positions between 531 and 540.
This ranking takes into account indicators such as academic and employers' reputation, faculty/student ratio and number of research citations in scientific publications, among others.
It is worth mentioning that more than 5,500 universities were evaluated and considered for their inclusion in this edition of the list, with the United States and the United Kingdom as the best located countries.
