Hemodialysis Services to Cuban Population Guaranteed |

Havana.- Hemodialysis services are included among the priorities of the Cuban health system, with a view to meeting the demand from the population.
In the case of the western province of Matanzas, the Cárdenas healthcare center treats 68 people with all security guarantees.
According to experts, the precautions are extreme, taking into account that patients are immunosuppressed due to their kidney disease.
The service currently has 10 functioning artificial kidneys, and its staff is made up of six doctors and 19 nurses.
In addition to this, monthly consultations with patients with advanced kidney failure who are not yet on a hemodialysis plan will begin soon.
