Havana.- The central province of Villa Clara shows favorable results in the work of the Consultation for Attention to the Infertile Couple.
From January to date, the aforementioned service accumulates reported 42 pregnant women, a figure that is almost 10 percent higher than the results during the same period of 2019.
According to specialists, the territory has assisted reproduction clinical groups in 13 municipalities and a specialized department that handles more complex cases.
In 2020, more than 600 couples with different degrees of difficulties were assisted to achieve a spontaneous conception, which is supported by the work of a multidisciplinary medical team.
Taking into account the complexity of assisted reproduction, the anatomical and emotional capacities of aspiring parents are evaluated to use the most effective procedure.
