40th Caribbean Festival Postponed to 2021 |

Havana.- The 40th edition of the Caribbean Festival, initially scheduled for 2020, was postponed for next year in the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba.
According to organizers, the decision responds to the health emergency caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has led to adopting measures in favor of human life.
This year there will be a program of activities that includes the recognition of the founders, and online workshops on the impact of Covid-19 on traditional popular culture.
This virtual event will also promote the development of next year's festival.
The event will be dedicated to Belize, the Suponen studios of Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (EGREM) and the 40th anniversary of the House of the Caribbean and the Popular Theater Workshop.
