Havana.- The Center for Electromedicine in eastern Santiago de Cuba guarantees the operation of the equipment necessary for the country's health system.
Specialists take care of the technology installed in institutions that provide medical assistance to patients and cases that are under clinical-epidemiological surveillance.
To do this, they focus on imaging, medical electronics, laboratory, ventilation and life-support (oxygen) equipment, stomatology, hemodialysis, electromechanical and other devices.
Currently, a management position operates to receive the reports from the units, which allows coordinating the work of some 180 highly-trained professionals and experienced specialists.
A technological surveillance team also reviews the reports and manages the spare parts through the national network, while guaranteeing warehouse logistics.
