Cuba-China Project to Produce Medicines |

Havana.- Authorities from Cuba and China activated a project aimed at developing the infrastructure for the first joint biotech park.
The initiative aims to research, develop, produce and market Cuban drugs, which has proven efficacy and worldwide recognition.
The project is among the main ones in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the local government has already promised preferential policies, full support and the delivery of 33 hectares to build the first facilities.
The biotech park is an agreement between the BioCubaFarma group and the Guangxi Fukang, and will be installed in the Fangchenggang Development Zone.
Among the initial products are melagenina, heberferon, proctokinasa, and the therapeutic vaccine against hepatitis B.
