Cuba Excels in Virtual Karate Contest |

Havana.- Cuba finished in second place in the 1st International Virtual Karate Performance Kata, with 126 points and 15 medals, including seven titles, two silver and six bronze medals.
The Cuban delegation was in charge of the Cuban Wado Kai Karate Academy (AWKC), which was only preceded by the teams from Brazil and Italy, both with 192 points.
According to sources from that sport, Hungary, the United States, Nepal, Morocco and Bosnia, Scotland also participated in the event, with a total of 260 karateists.
Since 2014, Cuba became the first country in Latin America and the Caribbean to become an affiliated member of the Iwa Karate International WadoO Kai Academy, a prestigious institution of the European Community.
It is recognized in international registries of the E.T.S.I.A Education Through Sport Instructors Association and certified by the prestigious Institution of science, culture and sport in Europe.
