Havana.- Cuban cultural authorities celebrated in May the 100th birthday outstanding musician and composer Adolfo Guzmán.
The musical accompaniment of international figures such as Libertad Lamarque, Amanda Ledesma and Hugo del Carril, and Argentinean singer Alberto Gómez, with whom he traveled to the Dominican Republic, were recalled.
Guzmán also worked with the music of great musicians such as Ignacio Villa (Bola de Nieve), and the Mexican singers Jorge Negrete and Tito Guízar.
In his work, he wrote ballet works, laments, waltzes, boleros, songs, blues, tangos, hymns, marches, incidental music and for various instruments.
Among his most recognized works are No puedo ser feliz (inmortalizad by Bola de Nieve and Armando Manzanero), Llueve, Libre de pecado, Esta noche te encontré, No es posible querer tanto, Si alguna vez te vas and Profecía.
