Cuba's Solidarity with Tourists from MS Braemar
Monday, April 6, 2020

Havana.- The Cuban experts who assisted the tourists of the MS Braemar cruise ship, who were transferred from Cuba to the United Kingdom, are free of the new coronavirus that causes Covid-19.

The teams who took part in the reception, transfer and boarding of the passengers complied with Cuba's Prevention and Control Plan to confront the pandemic.

Cuba responded to an emergency call from the 682 passengers on board the ship, several of whom were ill with Covid-19.

In an operation carried out with all the security measures, the travelers disembarked at the port of Mariel and were transferred to the José Martí International Airport, from where they departed to the United Kingdom on planes arranged by British authorities.
