AZCUBA Group Promotes Food Production |

Havana.- The AZCUBA business group, linked to the sugar sector in Cuba, has productive mechanisms to promote food production in the country.
According to experts, the company is promoting 23 projects for local development and production chains and supplies related to the sugar industry.
There are also 57 research plans with the involvement of universities and 36 projects linked to the national economy, with a view to taking advantage of the potential of the agro-industry.
The strategy's priority is to increase export revenues and to reduce imports by diversifying production.
Coupled with this is the contribution to food supplies in the domestic market, with a view to meeting the growing demand from the Cuban population.
