Cuban Baseball Championship Preliminary Season Stopped |

Havana.- All teams taking part in the 60th season of Cuba’s National Baseball Series have stopped preparation altogether, with all players returning home.
The essential goal is to protect people from the spread of the new Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.
Insiders indicated that each athlete is tied to a simple individual training plan, which they can fulfill at home.
So far, it has not been possible to determine a date to start the baseball season, something affecting as well other professional and amateur leagues around the world.
Meanwhile, at the National Youth Championship, the province of Sancti Spíritus won gold, coming on top of all Cuban provinces, bringing to an end the qualifying phase of 36 games per team.
