Cuban Tourism Bets on Safety
Monday, March 23, 2020

Havana.- The Cuban tourism sector is committed to the safety of people in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic currently affecting the entire world, by protecting facilities at different levels.

The decision to regulate access across the island's borders also leads to additional measures that could even contemplate the temporary closure of a large number of facilities.

This step will be accompanied by maintenance and sanitation operations, with a view to creating the conditions to resume services when the authorities order it.

Safe care is also imposed on those who arrive in the country for various reasons, with permanent observation to rule out any symptoms of the coronavirus.

Actions of this type are also transferred to the private sector, which has a significant number of accommodation capacities for international tourism.
