Varadero Beach Resort Gears Up for Covid-19 |

Havana.- The Varadero Beach resort, the main sun and beach destination on the island, is adopting preventive measures against the expansion of the Covid-19 Coronavirus.
Such measures been reinforced at the “Juan Gualberto Gómez International Airport”, on the outskirts of the spa city, main entrance for visitors to the Hicacos Peninsula.
On the second weekend of March alone 24, 470 foreign tourists got involved in an extensive schedule of activities.
For security’s sake, the Karey Club has been refurbished to isolate suspected cases detected at the border, without the need to reach the hotels.
In the more than 50 hotel establishments in Varadero, the local staff has been instructed to reinforce hygiene and sanitary measures and rely on qualified doctors and nurses.
