Havana.- The pediatric hospital in Cuba’s western province of Pinar del Río is bent on improving its structure.
Ongoing works include the construction of a new emergency ward and maintenance to the intensive care rooms.
On the second floor, on top of the emergency ward, there will be a medical internship room.
The project also includes the expansion of the clinical laboratory that currently doubles as emergency ward.
There are plans to enlarge the intensive care area, by replacing all carpentry, lower ceilings, veneers and hydrosanitary networks.
