Cuba Develops Drugs to Treat Covid-19 |

Havana.- The Cuban pharmaceutical industry is producing 22 medications used to treat the Covid-19 Coronavirus.
These drugs are produced in facilities of the Biocubafarma business group.
The industry has been provided accordingly with raw materials, supplies and spare parts, with a view to responding to current demand, amid the ongoing epidemiological crisis.
The country has guaranteed all medicines for in-hospital use, including antivirals, antiarrhythmics, anesthetics, antipyretics, serums and parenteral solutions.
Also included is the antiviral recombinant Interferon alfa 2B, a leading product in Cuban biotechnology that is produced at the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB).
