Havana.- Cuba’s special western municipality of the Isle of Youth is working hard in creating the conditions to diversify exports.
Insiders consider that local agro-industrial enterprises are gearing up to make good use of their exporting potential.
The island has been provided with an up to date aseptic fruit and vegetable processing plant for Doypack format products.
The company is already exporting charcoal, tobacco, honey, and has been providing tomato paste and mango pulp to La Estancia since 2017.
It also sells puree, jams, simple and concentrated juices, fruits, fresh, canned and pickled vegetables to the local hard currency market.
