Cuban Athletes in Europe Are Protected from Covid-19

Havana.- Cuban athletes under contract in Europe are complying with regulations to protect themselves from the Covid-2019 coronavirus.

Players Robertlandy Simón (volleyball) and Jasiel Rivero (basketball) confirmed their favorable state of health, free of the strain of the new coronavirus.

Simón, a member of the men's national volleyball team and one of the leaders of the Lube Civitanova team in the Italian League, said they are still waiting to restart competitions.

Also in good health are Roamy Alonso, from Consar Ravenna, from Italy; and Marlon Yant, from Chaumont 52, from France.

Basketball player Jasiel Rivero, a member of the San Pablo Burgos club, from Spain, is physically and mentally well, complying with all hygienic measures.

More than 20 Cuban athletes have been contracted in Europe, under the guidance of national federations.
