National Museum of Fine Arts Displays Kcho’s Works
Monday, March 23, 2020

Havana.- The National Museum of Fine Arts, located in the Cuban capital, will host an exhibition by local artist Alexis Leiva Machado (Kcho), under the title “En ningún lugar como en casa” (No place like home (1990-2020), spanning three decades of creative work.

Displayed at the exhibition will be such iconic Kcho’s works as “La peor de las trampas” (The worst of the traps), “Todo cambia” (Everything changes), “Archipiélago de mi pensamiento” (Archipelago of my Thought), “Lo mejor del verano” (The Best of Summer) and “El pensador” (The thinker).

Likewise, the third floor’s hall will be displaying an extension of the artist’s previous community work at Romerillo Organic Museum, a project he presented at Havana’s 12th Biennial.

As part of the show, Kcho will be introducing an on-site engraving workshop, attended by engravers from all over the country.
