Thirteen Cuban Athletes Classified for Tokyo-2020

Havana.- A total of 13 Cubans have already classified in the athletics section of Tokyo-2020 Olympic Games, next summer.

Recently added to the list were long jumpers Lester Lescay and Maikel Massó, after registering 8.28 and 8.26 meters, respectively, above the minimum 8.22 required.

Standing out in triple jump is Andy Díaz, who jumped 17.12 meters and has maintained stable results above 17 meters.

Also included are Yarisley Silva (pole vault), as well as discus throwers Yaimé Perez and Denia Caballero and triple jumpers Liadagmis Povea, Jordan Diaz and Cristian Nápoles.

Other classified athletes are Rose Mary Almanza (800 meters), Zuriam Hechavarría in 400 meters with fences and the high jumper Luis Enrique Zayas, with the latter having recently jumped to 2.33 meters.
