Cuba Revamps Chocolate Factory |

Havana.- The Baracoa Chocolate Factory, the only one of its kind in Cuba, is benefitting from a technology renewal process currently in its final phase.
Agriculture local leaders have indicated that the mechanical assembly of the cocoa transformation line, to be equipped with Swiss and German technology, has reached 90 percent.
Also, the installation of the electrical system by foreign and Cuban specialists has come to 10 percent.
Meanwhile, work on the line of industrial chocolate tablets, with Italian-made equipment, is halfway through its execution plan.
The total investment is estimated at 20 million pesos, as part of a strategy that aims to incorporate added value to key lines of the national economy.
There are also additional actions to improve the lines of powder mixtures and handmade chocolates.
