Cuban Basketball to Play AmeriCup 2021 |

Havana.- Cuban players will attend the AmeriCup-2021 Men's Basketball Competition, in group C, in which they will play their first game against the Virgin Islands.
The Cuban team is expecting several players now competing abroad to join it, including Jasiel Rivero (Spain), Yoanki Mesa and Pedro Bombino (Argentina).
Insiders indicate that Cuba will go for a first victory at that event, where it will also play Canada and the Dominican Republic.
Cuba was eliminated in the first round of the World Cup qualifiers for China 2019, and now is seeking to return to the AmeriCup for the first time since 2015.
Meanwhile, Virgin Islands won a surprising fourth place at the AmeriCup 2017, their best demonstration ever, and also entered the eliminatory round in the World Cup qualifiers, after beating Bahamas twice.
