Cuba Declares Las Terrazas Resort a National Monument |

Havana.- The Las Terrazas Cultural Landscape, located in the western province of Artemisa, will be declared National Monument of the Republic of Cuba.
As part of the celebration, the project "Archive of Las Terrazas, memory and history of a Cultural Landscape" will be presented to the community.
In doing so, Cuba recognizes the historical, natural and architectural value of the site, which covers five thousand 300 hectares of the Sierra del Rosario Mountains, which harbors a comprehensive development project that is reforesting the area through a terrace system.
Insiders say the National Monument title entails the obligation to promote the conservation and visibility of tangible and intangible heritage treasured in such landscape.
