Central Cuba Produces New Fish Products
Monday, February 17, 2020

Havana.- The Industrial Fishing Company in the central Cuban province of Cienfuegos is planning to increase production in response to market demand.

In 2019, it processed 1,941 tons of fish, making a noteworthy contribution to the local economy.

Currently, the industry is releasing over 60 items, ranging from catfish fillets, tench steaks, fish cocktail, to hamburgers and paella ingredients.

The factory is planning to add seven new items to its production line, including marine skewers, fish trunks in tomato sauce, breaded fish fillet and croquettes.

The aquaculture program is an alternative widely accepted by Cuban consumers.
