Cuba’s Main Airport Undergoes Infrastructural Improvements
Monday, February 17, 2020

Havana.- Cuba’s José Martí International Airport, the main facility of its kind in the country, is undergoing a process of changes, with a view to improving the service infrastructure.

Accordingly, the terminal should be opening 12 kiosks for auto check-in, a technology that allows passengers to check their tickets from the device itself.

The plan contemplates improving lighting in the departure rooms for passengers, immigration and customs and in the last waiting section.

Other actions are aimed at wallpapering the façade of the last waiting room, to improve the temperature inside and control the levels of clarity in the airport.

In addition, the luggage transporting tracks were restored, with plans to add a fifth track to those currently in use, thus helping avoid interruptions at the time of arrival.
