Cuban Tourist Services to Add New Theme Park |

Havana.- Cuba’s tourist industry will inaugurate a theme park on the banks of the Canímar River, in the western province of Matanzas.
According to tourism sources, the project will first appear at the International Tourism Fair (FitCuba), to open next May in Varadero.
The park will be devoted to Cuba’s history, from the time of aboriginal inhabitants to present day.
Canímar is one of the main and largest rivers in that area, compared to the other two that flow into the Matanzas Bay, where the Yumurí and the San Juan also spill their waters.
On account of its geographical, natural y cultural values, this river area is under state protection, as Natural Protected Landscape.
Cultural Landscape Río Canímar is also a National Monument in Cuba. On both of its banks and along the river a number of tourist attractions are located.
