Brazil Expects Huge Carnival Revenues
Monday, February 10, 2020

Rio de Janeiro.- Brazil is pinning its hopes on grossing some 1,900 million dollars in revenues from its traditional Carnival celebrations in 2020, by creating more working posts.

According to insiders a more positive economic outlook appears closer, hand in hand with a lower inflation rate.

Experts point to the fact that a lower exchange rate against the dollar works as an incentive for local tourism, as reflected by the Carnival.

All these factors will boost local tourism this year, compelling it to yield the highest volume of revenues of the last five years.

More than 88 per cent of the income will be generated by the food and drinks sector, the passenger transportation companies by road, highway and aerial transportation rental and lodging.

Restaurants and bars are expected to yield some 100 million dollars.
