Cuban Beach Volleyball Players Face Busy Agenda in 2020
Monday, February 10, 2020

Havana.- Cuban Beach Volleyball players will have a busy schedule this year, as a previous step to Mexico’s pre-Olympics, where they are pinning their hopes of qualifying for Tokyo 2020 Summer Games.

Standing out among the male couples are Sergio González and Luis Enrique Reyes and Jorge Luis Alayo and Miguel Angel Ayón, and the ladies duos made up of Leila Martínez and Maylén Delis and Yanileydis Sánchez and Lidiannys Echevarría.

Cuban players have their eyes set on the Northern, Central American and Caribbean (NORCECA) circuit, which should allow them to qualify both locally and in the region.

This event will be featuring legs in Cayman Islands, from April 20 to 25; Cuba’s Varadero Beach, from May 13 to 16; the Dominican Republic (May 4-9) and Saint Kitts and Nevis ( June 15-20).

Two Cuban couples (male and female) will take part at the Pre-Olympics, following the event’s competing pattern, which entails bilateral matches in which participants are to play five games and win three.
